Describing lawyers upholding rule of law as ‘activists’ was not just misleading - it was dangerous

There is little doubt that the “demonising” of asylum seekers, immigrants and the legal profession by Conservative ministers has helped prepare the ground for the far-right riots we’ve seen across the country. Describing lawyers who are upholding the rule of law as ‘activist lawyers’ & working against the will of the people was not only misleading & inflammatory- it was outright dangerous. We must never allow that to happen again.
