Its part of a clear pattern of the Government attempting to shut down the ways in which we can all challenge its decisions. It’s given the police almost unlimited powers to shut down protests & arrest demonstrators. Its forced through protest regulations it had no power to create after Parliament had rejected them. And it has passed laws to stop people from striking for better working conditions & blocked millions of people from voting in elections - see a pattern emerging here?
